Tommy Baldwin Racing To Feature Mohawk Northeast on the No. 35 Chevy at Talladega
CHARLOTTE, N.C., 04/22/10 – The No. 35 Chevrolet Impala for Tommy Baldwin Racing (TBR) will feature a custom Mohawk Northeast, Inc. paint scheme for this weekend’s Aaron’s 499 at Talladega Superspeedway, team owner Tommy Baldwin announced today.
Mohawk Northeast, Inc., a construction company based in Connecticut, will be prominently displayed on the Chevrolet driven by Aric Almirola this weekend. Al Heinke, President of Mohawk Northeast Inc., is excited about teaming up with TBR.
“We are looking forward to partnering up with Tommy and the race team this weekend at Talladega,” Heinke said. “Involvement in NASCAR is a great way to increase brand recognition and the partnership with Tommy Baldwin Racing allows us to reach a group of customers outside our current base in New England.”
Almirola will make his season debut for TBR at a track where his career record includes a 13th place finish in the 2008 Amp Energy 500. Almirola will look to get the No. 35 into a race for the second time this year, and Baldwin is confident his cars will be strong this weekend.
“Our superspeedway program has always been good so we are heading into the race weekend confident that we will have a good showing with both our cars,” Baldwin said. “I’m excited about having Mohawk Northeast on the No. 35 and hope to have a good run for them this weekend.”
Almirola, a 26-year old native of Tampa, Florida, has over 110 starts across the top three NASCAR Series with a career record of one win, ten top-five and 25 top-ten finishes.
