Luke Baldwin entered the 2024 season looking to become the Rookie of the Year on the SMART Modified Tour. In the end, Baldwin did even better. Wheeling the Pace-O-Matic No. 7VA for Sadler-Stanley Racing, Baldwin captured the SMART Modified Tour title Saturday in the season-finale at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Baldwin finished third in the 99-lap main event, enough to best the other four contenders racing him for the title. The 18-year-old North Carolina native posted two wins and countless top-fives during an impressive rookie season that ended with the championship trophy. “I can’t put it into words,” Baldwin said. “I just can’t thank everyone enough. It’s been a year filled with ups and downs. We could have had five or six wins as a team if it wasn’t for me being so inexperienced. It still doesn’t feel real. I’ll remember this one forever for sure.” For more information on Sadler-Stanley Racing, visit Sadler-StanleyRacing.com and follow the team on Facebook at SS Racing for the latest updates, including from the track on race day.
